At Contour we are committed to maintaining green practices. We consider the environmental impact of our products from the design phase through to production and shipping to our clients.

Contour and WEEE

The European Union’s (EU) Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive 2002/96/EC came into effect in February 2003. The directive imposes the responsibility for the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment on the producers of such equipment. As a supplier of interconnect products (components and sub-assemblies), Contour Electronics Ltd does not directly produce EEE, as defined in WEEE’s Annex 1A.

Quality Assurance

Contour Electronics is proud to be accredited with ISO9001 and ISO 14001 certified by LRQA.
Our Quality Management Systems are the key elements that demonstrate Contour’s commitments to quality in terms of both product and service offerings.

Factory Approvals

We work in partnership with our Far East manufacturing facilities and partners to ensure that our products meet the highest possible standards. The factory approvals include ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, TS 16949.

In addition to the above, various industry approvals and product standards are met and these include UL, CSA and IPC-620.

These are supplemented by continuous manufacturing process improvements and product quality is monitored and audited. This ensures that we are able to deliver high quality product on a consistent basis.

Medical Devices require protection against infection caused by Bio-burden. Contour have installed a clean room which achieves the ISO14644 Class 7 standard to protect & ensure that Bio-burden is not introduced by the manufacturing process.

Our clean room is certified to ISO14644 Class 7 standard, as well as FED STD 209E Class 10,000.
